"Just Someone's Cute Door"

If you've ever visited Europe, you know that it's common practice for residences to have the most gorgeous doors known to man. 

As I walked around Marseille, France, I stumbled across this green door. I just had to paint it. Wouldn't life be a just a little better with a red trimmed, green, carved door? I certainly think so.

I love unique doors because they remind me of the unique people that inhabit them. People who come home with friends, family, or alone, laughing on the phone, struggling with groceries, holding a new member of the family, or contemplating grief and worry. There's a whole life unknown beyond the threshold of these homes. For them, their door is a sign of coming home, of entering into their private life.

For me, it's just someone's cute door.
